How does your process work from enquiry to installation?

  • Design & specification – Style, colours and finishes confirmed
  • Official quotation issued
  • 20% deposit paid book your production slot
  • Fabrication in our Sheffield workshop

What are your lead times for installation?

Our typical lead time for composite gates, fencing and metal railings is 2–6 weeks, depending on the project size. Your project is scheduled once the 20% deposit has been received.

What rust protection options do you offer for metal gates and railings?

We offer different corrosion protection options based on your requirements and budget. These include:

  • Primer and powder-coated finish – the lowest level of rust prevention, suitable for light domestic use. Surface rust may appear over time but it is the most cost-effective option.
  • Zinc plating and powder-coated finish – a cost-effective anti-rust solution that provides improved corrosion resistance while maintaining a smooth, high-quality surface finish.
  • Hot-dip galvanising and powder-coated finish – the highest level of rust protection for long-term outdoor durability. This industrial process may slightly affect the powder-coated finish but offers superior lifespan and performance in harsh weather conditions.

All options are finished with our professional powder coating service as standard, available in any RAL colour for a premium, long-lasting finish.

Do composite gates & composite fencing need maintenance?

Yes and no. Composite products are low maintenance, meaning they don’t require any painting or staining and won’t rot or warp like timber. However, to keep your composite gates and fencing looking fresh for years, we recommend regular cleaning of the boards to prevent dirt build-up and occasional lubrication of hinges and moving parts to maintain smooth operation.

Do you manufacture everything in-house?

Yes. All our metal gates, steel railings, handrails and safety barriers are fabricated in-house in Sheffield by skilled metalworkers. This allows us to maintain full control over quality and workmanship. From design to installation, we handle everything.

Are your gates and fences made to measure?

Absolutely. Every composite gate, metal gate, fence panel and handrail system we install is made to measure for a perfect fit. We work on residential homes, commercial premises and new builds across Sheffield and surrounding areas.

What types of ground can you install on?

We can install composite gates, metal gates and fencing on a wide range of ground types, including:

  • Soil or soft ground
  • Tarmac and concrete surfaces
  • Brick and block walls
  • Sloped or uneven ground (stepped or raked designs available)

A site survey ensures your installation is strong, secure and built to last.

What’s the difference between composite fencing and metal fencing?

Composite fencing – Ideal for privacy and modern aesthetics in residential gardens and driveways. It offers a clean, contemporary look with low maintenance and no need for painting or staining.

Metal fencing – Often referred to as metal railings or balustrades, this option is stronger and more durable. It is preferred for security, boundary definition and traditional or decorative designs. Metal fencing is highly customisable with options such as railheads, bars, scrolls and bespoke patterns to complement your property style.

We can advise on the best option based on your design preference, budget and security needs during your quotation.

What safety regulations do you work to?

All our products are designed and installed to meet current UK safety regulations. This includes:

  • Maximum 100mm spacing between bars/infill to prevent entrapment
  • Minimum 1.0m railing height for fall protection
  • Handrail heights 900–1100mm
  • Compliance with BS 6180, BS EN 1991 and Building Regulations Part K
  • We are fully insured and committed to safe working standards.

Do you remove old gates or fencing before installation?

Yes, we offer full removal and disposal of old timber panels, concrete posts, gates or damaged fencing as part of our installation service.
